letapjar commentedI have the same problem using 6.x-3.x-dev - but only on certain browsers. Problem is I cannot reproduce the error on my systems - but certain test users see plain text and therefore cannot login.
The attached image shows how the user-login block is rendering for *some* users.

PRmeena commentedThe same problem here with 6.x-3.2-rc3 version. D7 version is working fine.
Dave Cohen commentedwhich?
First, you say some browsers, then you say some users. Which is it?
If your app is in sandbox mode, take it out of sandbox mode. Read the readme.txt for other troubleshooting possibilities.

PRmeena commentedI am working in Drupal for past 1 year. I never had to struggle this much with another module to get it working.
Following are the result of my latest test after uninstalling and starting from scratch the instructions in readme.txt (6.x-3.2-rc3 version).

Dave Cohen commentedThere's a common problem with IE, and the solution is in README.txt, see the part about "xmlns:fb"
Firefox I'm not sure. I'd use firebug to check for javascript errors. That's also suggested in README.txt.

letapjar commentedDave,
thanks. The app is not in sandbox mode and I have the usual modifications for xmlns etc. when I said certain users I should have said certain people trying to login - i.e. they are anonymous users at the time and as the image I attached showed, the login button is not rendering for them. It is not OS specific as both windows and mac users using chrome, or safari or firefox have reported the problem. I cannot trouble shoot more because I cannot reproduce the error myself.
For one user we observed that, with firefox running on windows, with cleared caches, the login button renders correctly the first time (and works), - but if he does a page refresh (without loggin in) the login button does not render upon refresh. Perhaps this has to do with whether or not the facebook script is being re-loaded?
there are not error being reported in firebug.

Dave Cohen commentedSearch the page source for "all.js". It should appear only once, in the page footer where modules/fb embeds some javascript.

imoreno commentedsome other things you might want to try:
1. use the old declaration in header - xmlns:fb="http://www.facebook.com/2008/fbml"
2. make your own input type and don't use the system php filter - i found out this makes a difference for some systems. so i have a fresh content filter i call it FBML and i use it on all the FB connect block fields.

Dave Cohen commentedRIght. To check whether an input filter is causing a problem, you can view page source and check whether the
<fb:...>tags are actually in the markup. However if that is the problem it will affect all browsers.Comment #11
13rac1 commentedI encountered this problem, but only when the App was in sandbox mode. Occurs in both Chrome/Win and Chrome/Mac. I disabled sandbox mode, and the Connect image displayed correctly.
Dave Cohen commentedthanks for that info. makes me think fb_devel.module or status page should detect when app is in sandbox mode and display a warning. (not sure when I'll have time for that patch)
