I've got several discount codes set up (call them X and Y), not applicable to a particular upcoming event (call it A) in the system. Other discount codes are applicable to the event. However, we've found that users are successfully applying discount codes X and Y to event A.

It appears from testing this issue that as long as a discount code input field is available on the event registration page, any of the discount codes in the system will apply to the event, even if they are not configured as applicable to the event, and they are also not configured as automatic discounts based on membership.

Any ideas how to fix this? I'm grateful for your help.

@zacksmith this seems to be isolated to events. Membership and price set are unaffected. I've patched and updated -dev. You can either git or wait 12 hours for the release.
