Unable to edit voting actions

Description

I added two actions: "promote to front page" and "demote from front page".

However, I would like to review the condition as I am not clear about the difference between "All individual votes" vs. "Any vote result". If it isn't working according to my expectation, I would like to alter the condition from "All..." to "Any...".

Note that I do not have any default action sets exposed:

"No default action sets have been exposed."

The list simply shows the two conditions:

based_on_points_demote_node_from_front_page
based_on_points_promote_node_to_front_page

with no icons on the right except the two separators "| |" as it seems to show in the video here:
http://jeff.viapositiva.net/node/497

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks very much.

I, too, am having this problem. I also see that the icon graphics are missing from the package. However, when I click the link in the above update, I can't seem to download the icons. Any ideas?

I am new to Drupal and CVS as well but here is how I muddled my way through to the downloads:

Click on this link as stated above and follow the procedure for each individual icon:

http://drupal.org/cvs?commit=65337

- For document-save.png click on the "1.1.2.1" link

- Then look for the "document-save.png" link at the very top of the page and click it

- On the following page "Log of /contributions/modules/voting_actions/icons/document-save.png" below you find "Revision 1.1.2.1..."

- To the right is a "download" link. Click it and you should see the icon.

Hope this helps.

Once you download the icons, you must place them in a folder called modules/voting_actions/icons in your Drupal installation. You can't put them in the main voting_actions directory.

I have downloaded the icons in my voting actions module/icons folder. Still can't see anything.

Why can't we simply have text for these links? Using graphics it a bit unnecessary, in my opinion.

Since the files are gone from the CVS you could just use google images for finding somg png icons and rename them.

I've tried following these instructions but I get a 403 Forbidden error when I click on download.

Why isn't the module package just updated to include these critical files? This is driving me nuts.

I went to the links that regli posted in #3, but it seems that the images can't be downloaded anymore.

Instead, I tried (newb-fashion) searching through the code of each file in voting_actions for ".png" and found links to the following 7 files in voting_actions_ui.inc (in the folder /voting_actions/icons/):

  • gtk-edit.png
  • document-save.png
  • edit-delete.png
  • media-playback-start.png
  • process-stop.png
  • go-up.png
  • go-down.png

Then I made crude dummy replacements in Photoshop, and after uploading them into said folder, I could edit, see some "export action set" code thing, and delete from the main Voting Actions page. It seems like the only images that were necessary to do the job were the first three in the above list, since they're the only ones I could see on my site. The images are attached to the post if you don't feel like making your own.

I agree, they should have just been links. Hopefully this will be fixed by the developer soon...

EDIT: It turns out that the names of the files don't describe their functions really well (gtk-edit = edit, document-save = export action set, edit-delete = delete), so the images I made can be misleading when viewed from your admin page (sorry).

I feel your pain, I just wasted a good 40m myself.

Post #13 solved this problem with ease.

Thanks much.

Quite a pain in the rear, to save people some time and frustration I ziped up the icons I found here in cvs
