Hi dww,
I would like to help maintaining the Update status advanced settings module.

dwwThanks for the offer. My only concern is I've never seen any patches from you, have no idea how careful you are with Git, what kind of code you write, etc. Therefore I'm a bit reluctant to just give you Git access. I don't mean that to discourage or insult you, just expressing my concern.
How about this? If you start posting patches that address open issues in the queue here, and the code looks good (conforms to standards, elegant, self-documenting, proper code comments, etc) I'll happily grant you access. Deal?
Thanks!

Of course, I didn't expect you to allow me to mess up your module without proof of me probably not doing so.
I'll do some patches to current issues in time, but it is currently not on top of my priority lists. I'll get back on that when I have time and PM you, if necessary :)

dwwGreat, thanks!

klonos@bibo: Hey Ilmari! if you ever manage to put some spare time together, could you please take a look at #909712: Globally allow dev versions to be reported as available updates + fine-grained control over ignored items and see if it interests you and if you can provide any patch there perhaps? No pressure, just wanted to bring the issue to your attention...
Thanx in advance ;)

dwwNearly 1 year later. I guess bibo lost interest. Alas. Luckily, rcross just volunteered. See #1887796: Make rcross a co-maintainer for update_advanced.
@bibo: If you change your mind, feel free to start contributing to the queue and set this issue back to active.
Thanks,
-Derek

bibo commentedSorry for not responding and possibly wasting some of your time.
Turns out I dont really have enough free time, and as I/we have changed some of our update/upgrade processes, we're not dependant on update_advanced anymore.
Great that lcross volunteered instead :-)
