Hi,
I can see on the facebook developer page that you can put in a custom URL, i.e. your own website homepage. As it stands, I use the like button on the top of every page on my website, when clicked, the user 'Likes' that exact page, and it is written on their FB wall that they like it.
They do not like my FB page, but the specific website page they clicked like on. Does that make any sense?!
Is there a way to make the like button reflect in the count the number of likes on my facebook page, rather than the number of likes my website page has got? I want users to click the like button on my website and then become a fan of my facebook page. That way my future posts on my facebook page will appear on their walls.
I saw another website do it http://www.attaindesign.co.uk/
Clicking on their like button doesn't like that particular content (their count is the same on all pages) but makes you like their facebook page instead.
Can this be done?
Sam.

samwillc commentedSorry I've misunderstood the difference between like button and like box I think.
What I really wanted to know was is there a way of having the count show ALL likes from any page on all pages. For example, I go to my services page, like it (so count turns to 1). I then go on my blog page and the count also displays 1.
At present, if I do the above, the services page will display 1 and the blog page will display 0.
The website in my previous post does this, every page has the same count. And I think you get that by always linking to your homepage in the 'URL to like' section on the create a like button page on facebook developers rather than linking to specific content i.e. whatever page a user is on, when they 'like', they like the homepage rather than the specific page they are visiting.
