I am working with a new horizontal menu that I created and am having problems creating the items I want.

If I create anything like /user, /forum, /profile they either don't appear or, if they do, anything I create as a child manu item doesn't appear.

If I created menu items with more mundane destination URLs such as node/44 with a child of node/29, they both appear, the correct "active" CSS class is passed (and thus my cute little white arrow gets attached correctly!!)

is there some setting I am missing for menus? I don't have any Primary Links and my main Navigation menu is disabled in blocks.

Has anyone seen this behavior?

Do you have the Path or Path Auto modules enabled?

yes, both. Why, is this a problem?

I have:

nodeprofile nodes --> profile/1 instead of node/34
usernode nodes --> mystory/1 instead of node/77

and nothing else. All other nodes (blog posts, forum posts, etc) stay as they are.

Is it PathAuto that is to blame?
