Trying to understand this module:
Would I be able to export an article (node) from one domain and import it on another domain? i.e.: I want to transport an article (with content, images, etc.) from one site to another.
Will I be able to do it with Node export alone or should I have the Features module installed as well?

That is what this module does... no you don't need features.

This module allows users to export nodes and then import it into another Drupal installation, or on the same site.
