Hide file upload for all but image ad types

I am looking for a way to hide the file attachment fields unless the user selects image ad. I thought it could be done with conditional fields, but no luck since the image field is not a ckk. I tried to use rules. But no way to make the rules trigger based on field selection that i have found yet.
Any suggestions are appreciated.
