I've searched drupal.org high and low, and have run out of search terms, so I hope someone will be able to put me back on the right track.
I remember some weeks ago seeing a module that let users sign in with their Google Account details, and a local Drupal account is created. The nearest I could currently find was the Facebook Module. Does a similar thing exist for Google? Or did I dream it? (Not that I'm admitting to having had too many Drupal based dreams recently. Not too many.)
If you've used this, or know it exists, please do let me know.
Many thanks, Rob

Google Friend Connect module
This is what you're looking for: http://drupal.org/project/friendconnect
Google uses OpenID
Google supports OpenID, so you can use the OpenID module for this. (I know this is... 4 years old, but it comes up in search, and I think it would be relevant to others looking for this)
You would have to theme the display of it to make it clear that Google works, and to provide instructions on how to use your google id this way.
Google Connect Module is available
