As announcement says the first meeting time was set to work for people in Asia and the Pacific, it is actually not convenient for people in Asia at all. 1.) The time difference between this announcement and the actual meeting time is less than 24 hours. With such short notice, it's hard for people to make it to the meeting. 2.) The scheduled time is way early in the morning. For example, that's 10AM in Japan, 9AM in China and 7:30AM in India. As we all know, these times are not productive for most people in our industry.

Therefore, please consider rescheduling the first meeting if it is still intended for people in Asia.

I hear that there are challenges with this timing. In scheduling this, I tried to meet these parameters:

  • Complete the meeting before the opening of voting on Feb. 3rd.
  • Ensure that all candidates from these regions (China and Australia) and members of the election committee (all located in North America in PST zone) could reasonably attend. I was thinking that 9 - 5 daytime hours were ideal, but obviously this isn't true for everyone.

Because we extended the nominating period, we have a huge challenge to complete the elections in the narrow timeline available. Is 24 hours notice insufficient? Absolutely. Rescheduling now would mean even less notice. I ask your and others understanding that we're trying to do the best we can with what we have available.

It seems that there are meetings for America,Asia, Australia, Africa and etc but i want to know is there any such meeting for middle east members too? Where is it and how can members find information about them? In Asia we see Japan,China,India and ... countries. Is middle east will be known as a part of Asia or Africa or it is separate?
However it is done yet but i asked it for future meetings.
