I'm here in Paris training a room full of devs on Rules as it pertains to Drupal Commerce, and one of the attendees had a nice idea. Basically, I'm seeing that most of our attendees use the full data selector list (hidden behind the fieldset) when picking data selectors instead of the JS drop-down. It's funny, because I exclusively use the drop-down selector... but I have the most knowledge about what options will be available.
So, jphil mentioned off-handedly why don't we make the data selector listed inside the fieldset clickable like the data selectors in the JS drop-down. Once they've scrolled down through and found the one they need, a simple click and maybe even a collapse of the fieldset would let them bypass having to copy the selector, paste it into the field, and collapse the fieldset themselves. From a tech standpoint, it should be a simple JS improvement... my question for you is if it's worthy of inclusion in the core Rules UI. : )
