I know I'm dragging this out of the closet here, but since this seems to also have been abandoned and would do well implemented with this module (as it is also the main point of this article and what all of these modules including CANO has aimed to solve). Anyway this may be further down the line and require a lot more work than you intended to take on when initially moving this project here, but it would be well worth it to look into (and ubercart users from everywhere will be praising your name should you implement this!).

But, please take a look and let me know if this is a future possibility.

Sorry for the delayed response, I thought that this project was a member of my 'always notify' notification group but it must have slipped through the cracks.

This looks very interesting, the general idea is the same but the way in which hierarchical select functions (AJAX refresh each time) is very different than the approach CANO (and therefore this module) takes. It would also require a bunch of hooks to make the AJAX refresh pull in the changes from other modules as well such as uc_aac and uc_discount_alt, so this would be quite an undertaking.

This isn't something that I would have the time to implement right now, so in the mean time patches welcome!
