Just like as the autocomplete widget of Term reference, it's very nice for UX.

I don't see us doing this for 7.x at this point unless a patch is provided. With the different UI and more control over limiting which views and displays are available in 8.x, I'm not sure I see the value in providing this widget. If someone wants to submit a patch I'd be happy to review and consider it for inclusion in 7.x-3.x or 8.x.
