First of all, thanks a lot for providing this module and for all the effort that has gone into it.

I have one question regarding the functionality of this module. When I first read about it, I thought the module would use the same fields infrastructure that standard Drupal content types use (see http://yourdrupalinstallation.com/admin/reports/fields). IIUC, the module introduces "properties" that are not related to Drupal fields in any way. I may be wrong and would be grateful for a clarification.

If Drupal fields are not supported, are there any plans to incorporate them?

ECK entities work with fields just like nodes do. Make sure the field UI module is enabled, and read this short tutorial that shows how to use ECK.

Thanks a lot for your kind reply and accurate instructions. I indeed only considered entity types and did not go one level deeper in the Admin UI to look at bundles – at the latter page you can indeed add, edit and delete fields!
