I have daily digests working with the default template, however I would like to customize the information displayed for each item.

The description of [subs:items:index:#0:formatted] is "Formatted string representation of the item, processed by its own template in the DIGEST context.". How do I modify the template for the node?

What do you mean with "how"? Just edit it...

Where do you edit it? There are no templates listed for a "Digest" context - just one template for digest.

For forum topics it's the forum topic template, for articles the article template, etc.

Open the DYNAMIC TEXT INFORMATION fieldset and scroll to the bottom to see what "context" means.

Thanks for clarifying, the relationship with mail edit could use some more documentation. Once I've learned my way around it I might contribute that.

Yes, I would very much appreciate if you could take notes about your stumbling blocks and provide concrete suggestions about what would have helped you to keep going.

Obviously, it should be as succinct as possible, because many people tend to miss any information that has more than five words... In the UI, that is. It can be a little more in the README.txt file.

Have the same problem here. I don't understand where to find the templates for the inner nodes of the digest? Even after reading dynamic-text > context I don't get it. Does anybody managed to find where the change the formatting of the inner nodes of a digest? Any help would be great! Thx.

I just added some examples on: http://drupal.org/node/1688350 - please have a look and let me know if that helps you.
