I get the following errors when installing the Opendeals Distribution

Hello guys,

First of all, i want to thank you for the amazing work you are doing with the opendeals module, it is awesome.

However, I am getting some errors when I install it that do not allow me to use it. I report them to you to see if there is any luck and you can tell me a solution. The errors are the next ones: (with PHP memory limit:512mb )

File Create Error: timer.js could not be created
Warning: syslog() has been disabled for security reasons in syslog_watchdog() (line 108 of /usr/home/dentaltix.com/web/deals/modules/syslog/syslog.module).
Notice: Undefined property: stdClass::$uri in file_save() (line 573 of /usr/home/dentaltix.com/web/deals/includes/file.inc).

When I keep configuring the site ignoring the errors, some things go wrong with the site:

First of all, not any css is displayed until I turn off the css compression at the performance configuration.

The second one is that the countdown is not displayed.

I hope you can tell me any clue on how to solve this problems.
