I upgraded from Pressflow 6.22 > Drupal 6.24. After upgrade, it was possible to log out (after clicking Logout twice). However, after logout, every visit to the home page showed as still logged in. Using different browsers, clearing cache, and reloading page did not fix this, neither did truncating sessions table in db.

my issue is the opposite but might be related. I upgraded from pressflow 6.22 to drupal 6.24 and each time I access a page I have to login again. Issue disappeared after I reverted back to pressflow 6.23, but I am getting a 'Security update required!' message again, urging me to use 6.24

Is there a pressflow 6.24 then and where can I get it. Yes I've tried pressflow.org but I am not very familiar with github, I just download the 'master' and I get pressflow 6.23.

Since there are no security updates in 6.24 I guess Pressflow 6.23 is good enough. You get irritating messages about urgent security updates being needed but it is not true, though it may create a bad impression on a client...
