Hello,

I've read several threads here regarding migration from nuke to drupal. The only reason I was using phpNuke was so that I could use one very specific module in my site. It's a chat module (written by someone else who no longer supports it) that is linked to registered members of the forum. I really don't care what kind of forum that I use (as long as it doesn't totally suck), but I REALLY care about the chat module. It is by far the best I have used (and administered) anywhere! It has only one drawback, and that was that it was written for phpNuke.

The module is all php, but integrates heavily with the database. I have basic skills in html and php and can fumble my way through some of the database calls, and have some database guru friends to help. My question is this: Will this chat module convert into Drupal, or will it need to be rewritten?

I've put up with my phpNuke problems in the past because they weren't too severe -- mostly the sql-injection that seems to happen to nuke sites more than others. Daily, I manually purge the members that don't belong, and manually clean up spam posts in the forum. But, recently my web host changed to CloudLinux, and the new security rules are somehow preventing users from logging into the forum (required if you want to chat) unless they are using Internet Explorer. Firefox, Chrome, etc., all seem to not process the logon properly now (logon fails with no error and goes to a blank page). With this major inconvenience, I'm now looking for a better way to run my chat (and the few forum pages that really matter).

Thank you
