I'm very new to Drupal, and recently installed Drupal 7.10 using Acquia. I haven't purchased a domain yet, or set up a server. Just to learn how, I tried to do the minor upgrade to 7.12, using these instructions: http://drupal.org/node/1223018.
So, basically I unzipped drupal-7.12, and replaced the sites folder with my old one. I couldn't run update.php, and when I tried to re-access my test site with the Acquia control panel, I got a 403 error.
Is this error just due to not being able to run update.php (a.k.a. not having the domain set up)? Or did I miss a step?
I'm using Windows 7.

Sometimes when uppacking
Sometimes when uppacking files, the file owner gets changed, and the system cannot read the files. Check your file ownership.
