I have recently migrated my site from Drupal 6 to Drupal 7 and at the same time also moved from a VOPS with 1 gig RAM to one with 2 gig RAM.
However I am frequently running out of memory with the sites also becoming unresponsive - the CPU utilisation is generally low. The site(s) on the VPS are fairly low usage and I cannot figure out where to start looking to see where the problems are coming from.
I can afford to pay $100.00 for someone to have a look at the server, make sure it is configured correctly, track down the problem and fix it.
VPS: Centos 6 with no control panel.
Just a word of note - the site when installed was fine at first for a couple of days and then became unuseable. However after moving from Drupal 7.10 to Drupal 7.12 (and also upgrading the forward module after a security update), the site seemed fine for a couple of days. But now it seems to be going back to the old ways.

It would be interesting if you post the outcome. I would not myself take on the job without knowing what kind of VPS. I have experience of VPSs which simply do not give you the advertised RAM, or which over-use RAM owing to heavy disk usage by others sharing the VPS. But maybe someone will come up with a quick fix.
