Is there a way to easily get the total of a column?
I think tablefield could be useful to create a simple timesheet that will have:
ACTION | DATE | TIME

as columns. So if you could provide a way to get the total of the time it would be great.

There are other modules that are better in having spreadsheet like functionality (operations on cells) like Views Calc or Sheetnode.

With the TableField module the way to go is to generate totals in your prefered spreadsheet off-line and import CSV files or copy/paste directly to display the results in your field.
