I am trying to remove version 1.0 and run 2.0 -- I have carefully uninstalled 1.0, and deleted all of the variables referring to it, as well as making sure all of the tables from 1.0 are gone after the uninstall.

However -- when trying to install 2.0-beta4 I always get the error message

The plugin definition of fb_social_presets_ui cannot locate schema fb_social_preset.

And then cannot set up any presets for fb_social.

Well --- okay, I'm bewildered --- The 3rd time I did this, it suddenly worked, despite the error message during installation.

That appears to be a glitch in ctools module. I would ignore the message. I'm surprised it didnt work for you initially.

You need to Clear cached data first. I also got this message, but it disappears after I cleared the cached data at: /admin/settings/performance
