I just installed the latest dev of views on a new Drupal install and then installed Embed Views Display 7.x-2.0-beta1. After this I noticed no Embed Display was available when I went to create my view.
In the views settings (admin/structure/views/settings) I noticed a new setting that came built into Views (See screenshot).
Is this module incompatible with this new feature? I disabled/uninstalled this module and checked the box on the setting mention above and the Embed display was in the display list; however, it didn't work so obviously it isn't working yet in the dev.

trigdog commentedLooks like this module is not needed as of Views 3.2. Views 3.2 includes the embed display...unfortunately it looks like I will have to convert all of my embed displays created with this module over to block or page views before I upgrade and then recreate them with the included Views embed display.
@grndlvl - can you confirm this or is there still a use for this module? thanks :)

grndlvl commentedI will look into this either next week or during the week of Drupalcon.
Apologies for not seeing this earlier. If 7.x-3.2+ does indeed have an embed display then I would say yes this module is probably obsolete and if you are having issues with the two modules I will be implementing a fix soon that would allow a migration or at least a solution that does not break your current views during an update.
Until that time please see http://drupal.org/node/1454426#comment-5700556 for a workaround.
