First of all "congratulations" to the new features with the folders & media basket. Really a long awaited feature.

But after updating the module I have the problem that none of the already uploaded files is visible.
Is there a way to "import" the already used files?

Hu? They should be there since Media uses the same tables as the core file/image features. Its worked every time for me.

How did you add/upload the existing files?

What do you get when you open 'admin/content/file'?

I'm also a little confused since this module does not have any features related to folders and a media basket. I think you might be thinking of the Media gallery module.
