I have 2 questions:

1. Does this show file structure differences between the on-line version and original one? In other words, if a new file was added/removed, does this detect it? Or does it only compare common file differences?

2. Can I enable this on production for a minute until I find out what's been hacked then disable it? Or should I create a copy of the website and enable it on that?

1. It compares the two trees of files, so it will detect additions and deletions.
2. Sure, but don't blame me if it breaks everything and causes you lots of pain, consider yourself warned!
