I need to make users cannot modify their alternate login, is there a way to do so (like in username)?

the latest 5.x release has a 'create alternate login' permission. if you have, for example, a site admin who has that permission, and auth users who don't -- the site admin can create alternate logins for users, and the users will not be able to edit them.
