My site uses Ubercart, the fill form of the checkout section pops up an "AJAX HTTP error, result code: 500" error and prevent checkout when an international country is selected. I can send an image of the full error code to your email, just send me a message to my email max.samite@gmail.com
My friend helped me before , unfortunately he's not around right now... easy $20 for this quick fix
