Description of issue:

After a crowd based user logs on for the first or successive time(s), the logon screen shows the error message

Sorry, unrecognized username or password. Have you forgotten your password?

However, the user is actually logged in with a valid token at this point.

Expected result:

User is logged in without any false errors about unrecognized username or password.

This is over a year old and related to a specific branch of this module that I am not too familiar with, but I'm thinking there is a good chance this is connected to the the following issue:

#956110: Module weight very high - breaks some login workflows

I'm going to mark as a dup, but after that #956110 pans out this could be re-opened if the problem persists (though preferably only after testing the issue against 7.x-2.x-dev, which is much more active at the moment).
