Today there are over 20 patches in the issue queue for this project, not so many if you compare to other projects, but for me to just use the basic field storage I need to apply three patches. Not so much work, but it keep me thinking - that are the plans for the maintainers for the project, and why is so few of the pending patches included in the dev?

fgmSpeaking just for myself here: I think most of the project "maintainers" actually care for only a subset of the module or even in a specific core version: in my case the watchdog and driver: there should not be unapplied patches for these unless I missed them.
AIUI, field storage was developed once for a specific customer by a specific developer and not evolved on d.o. since there. This is probably a similar situation for the other components.

misc commentedI see, if that is the case I am interested in co-maintaing the field storage module, if that is needed.
fgmThat would be fine from my PoV, but I do not have rights on this: you should ask Damien or chx, who are likely the only ones with rights to add a new maintainer.
misc commentedI have contacted Damien, so let's see the response :-)

misc commentedI was added as a co-maintainer by chx (thanks!) will try to do some work on the field storage module this weekend.
