Just spent a lot of time getting this to work ok for my uses and wanted to document this here. If my case is consistent with that of others, I think some time could be saved for future users by adding a note to the installation instructions. In my case, which was to integrate KCFinder with ckeditor via WYSIWYG, I was required to download the latest development snapshot of KCFinder in order for it to be usable. The latest release version displayed so poorly that it was completely unusable. Perhaps this is not the experience of others, but it was for me.

Thanks for making this happen on Drupal! After I figured that out, it appears to be working well!

idd, had the same layout problem when using browse file..
I copied the contents of the zip file into kcfinder libraries.. and now everything works correctly..
