Hello.

I'm using views to show a page listing particular nodes. When you click on the link to one of the nodes, the bread crumbs trail only contains a link to 'Home' but not the view the user came from.

Is there a way to include views in the site hierarchy as represented by the bc trail?

I recollect that when you define a view, there is an option to set breadcrumbs for it. But I am not sure if this is exactly what you are asking for.
