I'm probably the only person installing cutting edge modules like this one on 4.7.

Anyhow I can't figure out why it didn't install the tables.

hm, weird thing. i know other people have used it for 4.7 before and it worked.
which database are you using?
is there a file taxonomy_fields.install in the taxonomy_fields folder?
have you tried to reinstall the module?
to do so just delete the line for taxonomy_fields in the system table and then activate it again.
i guess if this doesn't help you can copy the table creation code from the install file and create them manually, but normally it should work.
