I have a dev version of the site (on a different domain) that mirrored the above one until i upgraded to drupal 6.
The upgrade went relatively successfully except uploading new images now does not work correctly. I have seen in the file directory that images are being uploaded correctly by imagefield, but imagecache does not seem to be working correctly- no new version of the image is being created in the respect preset directories.
I have spent several hours trying to diagnose the issue. Not sure if it's related to an htaccess issue or not. But am at a point where I would rather pay a more experienced developer to solve the problem.
the specific developer task is to diagnose and correct this issue so that i can successfully upload an image and see its corresponding versions in the 3-4 different presets.
I am willing to pay very competitive market rates- flat fee or hourly.
And for the right developer I would be interested in continuing the relationship for further work.

Did you copy the site while upgrading? Who is the owner of the imagecache folder (it should be the webuser)
