When I apply this to the exposed form elements on a view all of the labels on the form elements disappear, just as they did in your screencast.

Actually there is one exception, the field set for proximity search maintains its labels on the form elements inside the field set.

Is there a workaround to add back in the labels?

I have attached an image showing what I'm seeing.

I have the very same problem. Strangely enough, it only happens when I activate a DS layout for my form - without one, everything works fine even if the form is registered with rel. Could DS be the real issue here?
