Hi,

is there a way to get the new Captcha module and Textimage to work together (Drupal 5.1)?

I've been previously using Captcha version 5.x-1.x-dev and Textimage 5.x-1.2 and everything worked just nice.

Then I've tried updating Captcha to version 2.1 and since then I only get can select Captcha/Math from the settings. Seems like the new Captcha version doesn't like Textimage or the other way round? Is there anyone who made these modules work together?

I have just found Textimage version 2.x-beta but the results are the same as before... I only get Captcha/Math as Captcha points.

So, I still need help ;)

I'm running version 4.7.3.

Apparently the host is running GD because i can see it with phpinfo(). But how does the drupal instance know where to find the GD module?

drupal picks this up because its stored in a specific path. you don't need to poiint to it. something like usr/bin or something to that effect.

I can also see only "none" or "captcha/Math" in the challenge dropdown list.

Need help here :S My first time using these modules.

Well, at least you can still use the older versions (as I've described above). Those work for me and I'm still using them until something better comes up.

In my experience, comment spammers have no problem overcoming the math challenge. So that's not an option... Only Captcha with Textimage seems reliable

Textimage is unfinished .
He has't not all funktion to work correct e.g. funktion textimage_captcha() this add a Item to the Captcha settings.
The Captcha Module request new funktion from Textimage, but he ain't got it.

I've created a patch to allow Captcha v2.1 and Textimage v1.2 to work together.

I've submitted the patch to above issue and is available at:

Please test the patch and help get it submitted.
