This isn't working for me on webform nodes. It works great on all other types. Is anyone else having the same problem?

This is a known issue. There is a patch for 6.x available, you could work on porting it to 7 if you wanted... ;)

#1096256: View webform results for unpublished webforms seems to refer only to the webform results pages at node/nid/webform-results*. In my case, I can't even see the regular node display at node/nid. Unless the other issue is broader than the report and proposed patch, mine is different. ...but I ended up taking a different approach on my project, so I won't be investing any energy in a solution here. This report can just sit for others who may find the same problem.
