This module has been marked as an abandoned project. On the other hand it looks, like there is a lot of interest in this module. A lot of interesting modules depend on it and there has been quite a lot of activity in the issue queue, which proves interest in this module.

During last weeks we prepared several patches, that are now waiting to be commited:

In most of the issues, that were updated lately, I contributed either a patch or review. My primary motivation to offer maintenance of this module is the fact, that I use it a lot. I think it is not a good idea to depend on module, that is not actively maintained. On the other hand, I believe we have to standardize file handling in Drupal as much as possible. As Plupload is a really powerful tool, and a lot of great modules depend on or use it's functionality, it could easily become a part of this standardized set of solutions. This will be my vision, if you decide to pass maintenance to me.
