What we need:

Knowledgable in Drupal 6/7

Experience with ecommerce/shopping cart implementation
Experience with code modification, site updates and upgrades

PHP/MySQL knowledge and experience.

Site management - HTML, CSS, SEO and data analytics.

Must be reliable and able to work to a schedule.

Must have good communication skills.

What we need done:

1) The Drupal installation will need to be adapted to allow a set-up where readers purchase memberships to read and participate in the site. Access needs to be automatically available once a member has paid for the account and the payment is verified. It needs to become inaccessible again if the person’s membership fees are not renewed. Membership lengths will vary from temporary to on-going subscriptions.

2) The site will need to track the number of members who read each page (story/chapter). That information will need to be interfaced with an accounting software package for royalties reporting.

3) The software needs to be interfaced with a cart and checkout system that allows both non members and members to buy downloadable files and other merchandise. Additional ecommerce and cross-selling needs to be handled as well.

4) Project timeframe is important. The first phase may require a significant time investment and then a maintenance/refactoring component thereafter. This position has the potential to grow into much more for the right individual.

Company is based in the San Francisco Bay Area. Would prefer a candidate in the area but will consider others.

Compensation:

The right candidate would join the staff with profit sharing from the websites.
