It does work with subpathauto when I disable its "Skip administration paths from sub-path processing." setting.

edit: when I said "a bit late" I meant me replying to #2. ...but then I noticed that I filed this issue back in February 2012 - not 2013! That's close to 2 years ago :p

PS: I'm coming to Australia on the 19th of February for 2-3 months!! I'll be staying with friends in Sydney, but also visiting other friends in Melbourne too. Anything "Drupally" going on during that time??
