Yes everything is set ok.
Yes everything is set ok. But imagecache creates no folders.
I have solved the problem now with css but that is not the ulitmate solution.

I've finally had it with imagecache, it's been in development for years and still seems to have an infinite number of problems I've spent a week on trying to get it to work but it just isn't happening.
My directory permissions are correct and I can see an imagecache directory has been created but that's all imagecache actually does. I have friendly URL's enabled. I spent a week on the net looking for a solution buy no joy, so I think it's time to call it a day.
Did you find an alternative that actually works?

Fyi, with imagecache in core for d7 there's not likely going to be an alternative.
