Hi,

i double checked this one but unfortunately Fusion is incompatible with the nivo slider module. Works just fine with other themes, just not with fusion. Tried some settings, nothing.

Anyone knows a slider that works ?

I know I have used Fusion 7.x-2.x with Nivo slider with no problems, but it was before the beta release, so it is possible that there was some addition to the theme that has broken something.

Can you give us some more details on what exactly is not working? Most likely this would be a javascript issue, so if you could investigate and report back any JS errors that appear on you Nivo page, I can probably find a fix for the problem.

You could also try the Views Slideshow module, but we definitely consider the conflict with Nivo Slider to be a bug and we would really appreciate your assistance in helping us investigate it.

Thanks!
Sheena

Hi Sheena,

thanks for your quick reply. This is a basic installation without any modifications. I am using nivo current: 7.x-1.1+1-dev and fusion current with the current nivo jquery.
The HTML looks OK to me, and the slider is actually there and works in the admin theme ;)

However on the frontpage there is just a white background with the round loading animation. I don´t know how to look for JS errors.

I def. want to use nivo, as everybody knows how to theme it by now :)

Really nobody else with this problem ? Nivo is kinda popular and i really don´t want to switch - but i can´t figure out what the problem is.

I will investigate this issue more thoroughly as soon as I have a chance... was planning on it today but my computer crashed :\

Is there any way you could provide a link to your site?

I send you a PM :)

At first I assumed that you were using views_nivo_slider, but once I realized that wasn't the case, I quickly found the cause of your issue. There is an existing bug report filed for the Nivo Slider module that will fix your issue, and the fix has been committed to the dev version of Nivo Slider. If you update to the latest dev version of that module, your problem should be resolved.

#1433014: not loading in panels

Hi Sheena,

thx for your support. I read the views_ bug report too and already had tried an older dev from nivo slider, thus assuming it´s a fusion bug.

The current dev from nivo fixex the bug !

Hi - I am, in fact, using Views Nivo Slider and Fusion and am running into an issue where the slideshow sometimes show up and other times, does not. I have it only on my homepage and I thought initially it was an anonymous issue only, but it does happen whether logged in or not. Refresh and half the time, the slideshow appears and the other, it does not. Any idea what I need to do. I love fusion and I love nivo. It only recently seems to have started happening, but I just made some changes today that fixed the "linkability" of my images - didn't previously have "Format & Shows" selecting Views Nivo Slider. So, I did make that change and get the slideshow finally working the way it was intended. But this new issue seems to have shown up as a result. Any help would be greatly appreciated!

This is most likely related in some way to the configuration for Views Nivo Slider or general javascript issues on your site (conflicts, caching, etc.). Fusion does not do anything that should interfere with the Views Nivo Slider module. I would recommend consulting that module's issue queue for assistance with this problem.

Cheers,
Sheena

I did take the suggestion of changing the them to bartik and could not recreate the issue there. Seems to be something that doesn't agree with Fusion. Any advice? I am on 7.x-2.0-beta1
