Similar Twitter modules

I did a quick review of Twitter related modules and was surprised to find about 100 of them. About 50% were abandonned, that leaves us with 50 projects falling into one of seven categories:

  • Read and display
  • Publish
  • Incite visitors to Tweet
  • Login
  • Friend finder
  • Link to account
  • Dependency, other

According to the above classification, this modules falls mostly in the Read and display category, like these other modules:

Any chance you could work with one of those other module developers?

I don't think any of those modules listed are suitable for merging with twitterfield.

A module you missed, however, is http://drupal.org/project/twitter_username which I think is a good candidate for merging into Twitterfield.

Agree, that none are the same, and I really like that TF ads the field. That's all I need and am looking for. Yes the projects could merge to become a one install fix all, but I like the lightweight and don't need all that extra overhead.

Hi

There is a new module http://drupal.org/project/twitterfield_pull which will pull all the tweets for any preselected 'TwitterField' field.

All the tweets are save in DB and can be rendered through view !
