Hi all,

So the subscriptions module has traditionally been a total nightmare, and way overkill for simply allowing members, AND anonymous commenters a way to subscribe to new posts, or comments in a particular thread (like many blog systems do). You'd think a module would exist for this, but I can't find one?

Anyone know of a *simple* way for non-members to subscribe to new posts, and new comments in discussions they are involved in in Drupal 5* ??

The two modules you mention are the only two modules available to the drupal community with regards to that type of functionality.

Could you quantify and/or qualify that? I find it works pretty well. I'd also like to know why you say its overkill.
