In the "category edit" form would it be possible to set default values for "Your name" and "Your e-mail address"?
Sometimes one needs to send mails as no-reply@foo.com etc...

Is this still a valid request? By default, the logged in user name and e-mail address are used. Are you looking for different default values? Would you want them applicable to anyone who was logged in and allowed to send mass e-mails? I'm not sure this request makes sense, so I think more information is needed.

I have a site where different (inexperienced) admins are allowed to send out mass e-mail; however replies should not go to them, but to a dedicated address, and their address should not be exposed. This is the scenario which made me asking for a configurable mail address.. However I am not sure whether this is a common scenario or not... In my case one system wide configurable address would be ok (if set, it would override the current user address). Thank you.

Okay. I believe that would be easy enough to implement as an optional admin setting. I'm going to work on eliminating bugs, first, but after that, I'll see about implementing this feature.

I added a default user name and e-mail address as part of the administrative settings (http://drupal.org/cvs?commit=76398). Now that I have implemented the ability to send to multiple categories (http://drupal.org/node/154056), it would be quite a trick to setup a different user name and e-mail address for each category and have multiple ones when sending the e-mails. I could probably do it if I use a separate database table for categories. Actually, that might be the only way it would be possible. Let me know if what's currently there is good enough.

Title: Setting default values for "Your name" and "Your e-mail address" » suggest default, but not in disabled input fields

I would like to only suggest the defaults to the admin and to allow him to change the values. Could a checkbox be added to configure whether the fields are disabled or not?
