I was thinking of starting a Drupal site for a ballot initiative I am working on. The site would allow volunteers to sign up for events and specific time slots for events at which they can attend to collect signatures. It seems that there are modules I could use to achieve this functionality. However, my other interest would be to have functionality that allows volunteers to come back to the site after each time they've collected signatures (or maybe just once a week) and report back on how many signatures they've collected. Then, volunteer coordinators or the campaign managers with the correct privileges could log into the site and view the total number of signatures collected by all volunteers, by region, by week, etc. They would also be able to go back and edit an individual's totals once they receive the petition forms and have done an "official" count and maybe even "lock in" their weekly count. Volunteers would also be able to see their individual running totals and maybe this would help them or motivate them to meet their personal goals.
Is there any module that exists that would allow me to incorporate such functionality? If not, would this be difficult module for someone to create? I have no module development experience and no PHP knowledge for that matter, but if there's anyone out there that might be able to help me out, that would be great!
Of course, I'll still have to talk to the campaign managers to see if this would be something they would really want to do. I know that I worked on a ballot initiative last year and each week we had to report our signature totals to our volunteer coordinators and things seemed kind of messy in terms of keeping track of everyone's signatures.
Thanks in advance for any feedback anyone can provide!
