Is there a possiblity to connect Search API with GSA ?

I found the related project http://drupal.org/project/google_appliance, but it doesn't seem to be connected with Search API module

To integrate GSA with Search API you would have to write a GSA SearchApiAbstractService class.

I don't think the google_appliance module will work with Search API out of the box.

There is no advance search option with "Google Search Appliance Module"

Is this a glitch?
