Finally got the ffmpeg helper working with uploaded videos, but then I noticed that it seems to break the functionality of entering a hosted video on the "Video File" line. Whenever I specify a hosted video now, it refuses to play. I assume this is because enabling the ffmpeg helper removes the fields for video playtime and size from the node edit screen, so those values don't ever get defined.

Seems like this is just a UI issue. Any ideas?

Actually the current video module for 5.x doesn't make it possible to use ffmpeg helper videos and hosted videos (Youtube or Google). I'm already working on this and something should be available in a couple of weeks.
