I just noticed http://drupal.org/project/push_notifications was published the day before this module - any chance you can compare beyond "that one is for 7.x" ?

This module has been working for over a year at The Economist, the push_notifications module does android also (the apple tools module at present is purely for iOS devices.

As you noted the push_notifications module was only just published, and I have not yet looked at it, or how it sends messages to Apple.

@John - I guessed where it was in use ;)

The question is more for other people to understand what the module does so they might want to use it. It would be great if you could make your project page follow the tips for a great project page.

@greg Yep agreed with that, I am also in contact with the maintainer of the push_notifications module.
