Okay, what i suggest is:

a) Profile image (avatar). Which will be displayed beside the profile details of a user.
b) Profile country information. The possibility to add a field with the type "country", which allows you to select your country in a dropdown list.

But still then, drupal is great and i enjoy to use it! - stay tuned.

You can already do this... Turn on user pictures and the profile module.
