Thanks for the great module.
I searched for a module that has the same functionality as this for 5.x, but to no avail.
I would strongly appreciate if I could have the taxonomy_sifter for 5.x...

@Nancy:
When I was going to update the handbook page on the module, I discovered that you already have done that. That is awesome. But it made me realize that I have removed the same documentation in the module itself when I replaced the HTML-version of the README-file with a new text version. I never looked at the HTML-version. I just thought it was the old one. It was not my intention to discharge your great work. I'm sorry. Feel free to update the documentation as you see fit.
